About Allyssa

Allyssa (she/her) is dedicated to person-centered therapy and will meet you where you are in life. Allyssa sees her clients as whole individuals who deserve to live out loud and without fear or shame. Her goal is to assist you in developing the most authentic communication with yourself, your loved ones, and the world — inside and outside of your relationships.

Allyssa is passionate about the intersection of the mind and the body when it comes to self- expression. She incorporates existential therapy tools and somatic awareness techniques into her therapy sessions to foster genuine, long-lasting self-confidence. Allyssa specializes in working with alternative relationship practices, including non-monogamy and kink, as well as personality/mood disorders, eating disorders, and neurodivergence in therapeutic/clinical settings. Allyssa believes that it is necessary to depend on others for what you need, want, and desire. Her philosophy is that humans are built to depend on each other and that the marks/stories we leave with each other are sacred.

Therapeutic Approach

Allyssa integrates sex-positive and trauma-informed care through a social justice lens, recognizing how systemic oppression impacts mental health. She uses a combination of Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients heal from trauma while embracing their full identities.
