About Marina
Hi, I’m Marina – I’m a therapist, a friend and community member, a lifelong learner, and a deeply curious and compassionate human. I am a highly relational therapist meaning that my first hope is to foster a meaningful connection with you. Then, we will explore creative interventions as we hear all parts of your story, gently support your nervous system, and foster loving & knowing relationships with all parts of yourself. Some days this might look like meeting yourself with gentle compassion, some days this might look like expressing righteous rage through shaking, pushing, and moving your body in intuitive ways.
I am trained in Somatic Experiencing, a modality that honors each person’s innate capacity for healing and expansion. Living with the lingering effects of recent or long-term trauma can be incredibly draining and challenging on your body and nervous system. Somatic therapy can support you in building your capacity, shifting your nervous system states, and resolving deeply held nervous system patterns (fight/flight/freeze).
I adore working with clients who would describe themselves as unique, quirky, creative, witchy, curious, expressive and/or intuitive. Some of my therapeutic specialties and interests include supporting people with chronic illness and pain, developmental and attachment trauma, and people who want to explore their mind, body, and spirit.
Therapeutic Approach
Marina integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS) with somatic therapy techniques to help clients develop a loving relationship with all parts of themselves. Her work is informed by disability justice principles and trauma-informed care.
