About Talya
My name is Talya and I am a compassionate, enthusiastic, and gentle somatic therapist earning my master’s degree from Naropa University in Somatic Counseling. My body-centered approach connects knowledge of the nervous system, how trauma is stored and processed in the body, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and movement. Using these tools, I support clients to access healing in a deeply felt, embodied way. These approaches help us to work directly with, rather than just talk about your struggles.
Developing a better understanding of something can make it feel less overwhelming, and you may begin to feel like you have access to more freedom, control, and choice. Through developing a relationship with your body, you can expect to discover more about yourself, heal patterns that no longer serve you, and feel more comfortable being you. I know from personal experience that therapy can feel challenging, powerful, and liberating. I am committed to providing a loving, safe space to guide you through this process. I am particularly dedicated to working with developmental trauma, codependency, anxiety, relationship and family dynamics, and exploring identity. I strive to provide LGBTQIA+ friendly, gender and neurotype affirming, and accessible care. I would love to support you as you heal old wounds and embody more of your authentic, powerful self.
